I hosted a group swap on Swap-Bot where you had to make 2 sewing themed greeting cards to send to your partner. I ended up having to make four. One of the participants wasn't happy with the quality of cards her partner sent her. So I sent her some too. The lace on two of the cards is from 1976. I bought a sewing kit at an estate sale last year. It was full of vintage sewing supplies. The paper measuring tape was part of the loot. I thought it would look great on some cards.

Quilt Sizes Chart
Here is a quilt sizes chart on how to determine what size to make your quilt for your bed.
The tuck refers to if you want enough quilt at the top to fold down and then up and over your pillow.
The chart is in PDF format.

Alabama Tote Bag
I made this tote bag for my friend Trish's sister. It is a big bag. There are 6 pockets inside. Great for going to the beach or grocery store. I use mine to take clean clothes or swimming clothes to the gym.

My Quilting Buddies Mystery Quilt
This is the mystery quilt I designed for My Quilting Buddies. It turned out pretty nice. The flash washed out the color in this picture. I will have to take a new picture.
Here is the DOWN LOADABLE PDF with the instructions.

Easy English Paper Piecing Project
I haven't tried this method yet. Why? Because I don't sit down long enough to sew. Usually the only time I sit is when I eat, drive, sew, or compute. On the My Quilting Buddies group forum we are going to try some EPP. I goggled English paper piecing and found this cute project.

Tube Quilting Tutorial
Missouri Quilt Company has some great video tutorials. I watched this one tonight and thought I would share it with all of you. I think once I finish some UFO's I will have to make a table runner with this block.

Calculating Quilt Measurments
Here is a great article on how to calculate material and such for quilts. I get asked by my friends a lot how much they would need to make a quilt top. Now I can refer them here. Thanks crazy mom quilts for doing all of the math for us.
