I am so busy. You would think with Christmas being over that I could slow down and relax. I sat down this evening determined to come up with a Monday through Friday schedule for myself so that I can use my time more efficiently. Or something to the effect of telling my time where to go instead of wondering where the day went. I want to fell like I have accomplished something when my head hits the pillow. I used to have so much time for sewing. Now I seem to have none.
I have managed to make a few tutus and pot holders. Not much else. I got a Janome Memory Craft 350e Embroidery Machine for Christmas. I am so excited and want to use it. One of the many reasons for the schedule.
What do you do to keep your self on task? I'd love to hear any tips.
Happy Sewing.

Baby Quilt for Garrett David Faires
Garrett David graced his parents and big sister with his presents on 10/28/11, 3 weeks early. He weighed 5 lbs 12 oz. He is adorable. I don't have a picture of the cute little bundle of joy to share just yet. Mom and Garrett have gone home and are doing great.
These are the promised pictures of the one quilt I have made this year. The first picture is the front and the second is the back.

I'm still here...
I haven't had any time for sewing lately. The only thing I have sewed is fabric postcards or to fix clothes. I started working part time from home and it has been a real challenge to be a full time mom, wife, maid, and have a job. There are so many distractions at home. I really miss sewing. I need to make two baby quilts for friends who will have babies this fall. I have fabric just have to decide on the pattern. If you have any fun baby quilt patterns please let me know. I'd love to look them over. Hugs and happy sewing.

Living Peacefully Less Stressed: Grace to Others
Living Peacefully Less Stressed: Grace to Others: "I think it is easy to see grace as something that is very 'floaty' ..rather ambiguous and even only of the spiritual nature.

Kidlet Reusable Bag
There is a swap on Swap-Bot to make one of these Kidlet bags designed by Jennifer Casa. They are multi purpose and kid friendly. They can hang on door knobs, drawer pulls, hooks, etc...I am going to make a few for our house. My son's could benefit to have one for their IPod and cell phone accessories. I am going to make one for my car. You could make the strap with velcro so that you could use it around the head rest in a car for toy storage or accessories. The tutorial is very easy to follow. It has a ton of great pictures for visual aid. Bravo Jennifer!
P.S. The link is to a PDF.

Fabric ATC's
I never knew what an ATC was until I saw swaps on Swap-Bot for them. I Googled ATC's to find directions on how to make them. I have made a few since then. We have a swap going on now for fabric ATC's. Here are two that I made. One I mailed off, the other is a surprise for someone else.
They measure 3 1/2 inches x 2 1/2 inches.(The same size as baseball cards.) I left the lace open on one end and inserted a button before sewing it closed.

Fabricmom's Free Quilt Pattern's
Many of you may already know this but I like to create quilt patterns using my EQ5 that my hubby bought for me a while back. I have posted downloadable PDF instructions for each pattern that I have created so far. And yes you can use my patterns for quilts that you intend to sell. I hope that you like what I have designed so far. If you make any of the patterns please email me. I would love to see the finished quilt. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
The quilt pictured was made by a reader who used the Crossed Paths pattern I designed. Isn't it just lovely.
Happy Sewing.
