Bow Tie Baby Quilt

Hello everyone.....A friend at church is getting ready to have a baby on June 11th. We had her baby shower today. She is having a boy. I made her this quilt. It took 8 1/2 hours to make it. I was up until 3:30 am and got it all sewn and pinned for quilting. I quilted it this morning after church. Talk about the last minute. I knew I had to make this. LOL. I am a procrastinator big time.
I quit my job on Thursday. My boss wasn't a very nice person. So I decided I had enough and quit. It felt so great knowing I didn't have to put up with his crap anymore. YEAH..... I now have tons of time to take care of my family and for sewing and other crafts and so on and so forth.
I am going to try to make some things. I have a ton of UFO's. And a lot of ideas of things I want to try but haven't had the time.
God Bless....

Glad to hear you followed your gut and now have some free time for your family and quilts. I know how you feel! I haven't been working, though it feels like it! McKenzie my oldest has been finishing up gymnastics & preschool for the year, and starting up t-ball and dance. So we have had the past couple weeks packed doing all four until preschool and gymnastics were out! UHG!!! I haven't had anytime for sewing, or cleaning! :) Love your bowtie quilt, I want to do one now! :)

Melzie...this is such and easy block to do. I got the pattern from www.quilterscache.com. It is called mini bow tie. 30's prints will look awesome with this pattern. I am just starting to collect 30's fabric. They have a bunch on www.wishuponaquilt.com for under $4.00 a yard.

Thanks quilting mommy for the compliment. It sounds like you are very busy. But it is all worth it. You have your house and family and the activites will give you memories for a life time.

Hugs to you both.

Have you ever realized that when you buy readymade suits you get a choice of only a few colors & styles, also finding the perfect fit are quite difficult? Wouldn’t it be better to choose from over 2000 different British & Italian fabrics and get a tailor made suit at a similar price that you pay for readymade suits?

We are a company based in Hong Kong and have been providing custom made suits & shirts since 1997. With representatives in major cities around the globe we can arrange to show you the fabric samples and take your measurements, or you can also place your orders online with the help of our measuring guide. There are over 2000 fabrics to choose from along with all the latest styles.

All our suits and shirts are produced by highly skilled Shanghainese tailors in Hong Kong and delivered in about 4 weeks, express delivery can be made in 2 weeks at a minor extra cost. In case you are not able to find what you are looking for then please let us know your requirement may it be in words or by a photograph and we could arrange it for you.

We also have an outlet at the Hotel Intercontinental Budapest where you are most welcome to visit us. Though we are not located in streets like Savile Row (London), we have still been able to offer made to measure suits to many VIP’s from around the world.
