Fish Block & 9 Patch

I finished my 6 fish blocks today. They turned out pretty cool. There wasn't an exact pattern so there was a lot of trimming to get it to be a 9 inch square. All in all it wasn't to difficult. I cut the pieces yesterday, got the squares made, and sewed the fins together. Today I got all the pieces put together. And of course I have been cleaning house while I do this. I probably could of had it all done yesterday. I made the rest of my nine patch squares yesterday too.
The first picture is the batik I received from my swapper for my fish blocks. She also sent me a pin which is in the picture.
Now I can get to working on catching up on the BOM the month blocks from the previous 6 months. I also have some August blocks to make for swapping.
I ordered some material off of today. They had some nice material on sale for under $4.00 a yard. I ordered Marcus Brother material in four different prints. I order 1/2 a yard of each one. With shipping it was a little over $12.00. Not too bad I guess. I hate having things shipped but you can't buy it in the stores here. So what choice do you have.
I have done alot of house cleaning in the last two days. I need to go to the post office and grocery store. It never seems to end. This is the life of a stay at home mom who likes to sew. LOL :)

I really like the fish. Are you going to glue on some googly eyes when you are done?
